California Military Academies
There are a variety of military academies located in various parts of California. Army and Navy Academy is an all-boys school accepting students from grades 7 – 12. This boarding school is one of the most respected military academies in the United States and it also accepts students from Europe, Asia and South America. Students learn academics in a highly structured environment. Athletic programs are also available for middle school and high school students. Golf, swimming, cross country, football, wrestling, tennis, track, hockey, surfing, water polo and baseball are some of the sports offered at the Army and Navy Academy.
Anaheim, California is home to St. Catherine’s Academy which is an all boys military school. Students enrolled at St. Catherine’s will learn academics, as well as discipline, respect and leadership skills. Daily activities include flag salute, drill instructions, honor guard, color guard, drill team and leadership programs. This Catholic school offers spiritual guidance and provides interesting classes focusing on doctrine and scripture. St. Catherine’s Academy also offers music programs that include band, guitar and piano for students who are interested in learning more about music. Private lessons and group lessons are conducted weekly for students enrolled in the music program.
