Arizona has so many opportunities for students to attend military schools. High school students can join the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps to get a taste of the military way of life. Military academies are a great way for students to develop discipline and integrity.

Cactus High School and Catalina High Magnet School both offer Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps programs. Students get the chance to learn about aerospace science and leadership development. Cadets in JROTC programs get to become better citizens by helping out in their communities. Apollo High School and Thunderbird High School both offer Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps programs. Students that are interested in learning more about the Navy should consider joining the JROTC.

The University of Arizona offers a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Midshipmen are expected to cultivate their leadership skills while working hard academically. Although the dry desert climate may not be conducive to learning about warfare at sea, instructors do a fine job at preparing an applicable curriculum.
