Idaho Military Academies
Idaho, which is well known for its famous potatoes, should also be known for its outstanding military schools. Idaho offers students plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in addition to academics. Mountain biking, skiing and rafting are just a few outdoor activities available to students.
Boise State University has a great Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. Students at Boise State University get a well rounded education in addition to challenging military training. Students in the Bronco Battalion love training for the annual Ranger Challenge. Instructors focus on leadership development and character building.
Idaho State University also offers an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Idaho State University is located in Pocatello, Idaho. The Bengal Battalion organizes many different field training exercises throughout the school year. Cadets especially enjoy attending summer training camps.
The University of Idaho, in Moscow, Idaho offers a Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Students get valuable academic education in addition to instruction in leadership development.
Delicious potatoes are not the only thing Idaho has to offer. Idaho has multiple military academies to choose from. Taking advantage of the many outdoor recreation activities is an added bonus for students in Idaho.
