Montana remains one of the most gorgeous states for students to study military science in. The outdoor recreation options are endless. Students and their visiting families can visit various national parks during holiday weekends. Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park are both located in Montana.
The University of Montana at Missoula offers an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. There are numerous undergraduate programs available to students who are also studying military science. Student excursions may include an educational trip to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. Scholarships are available for students participating in either the two or four year program. Cadets especially enjoy survival and marksmanship training. Lubrecht Forest is a great place for outdoor training opportunities.
Montana State University also offers an Army ROTC program. The Bobcat Battalion also has a nursing program. Cadets in the Bobcat Battalion work hard to develop leadership skills and inner-strength. Montana State University has a rich history of producing military leaders. Out of state family members will especially love visiting their cadet during holiday breaks.
