The University of Hawaii Manoa’s Reserve Officer Training Corps program has a rich history of producing outstanding soldiers. Graduates that go on to become commissioned officers continue to distinguish themselves within the military ranks.
Many graduates of the University of Hawaii’s ROTC program went on to serve during World War II. Cadets were even activated by the Hawaii Territorial Guard following the attack on Pear Harbor. They guarded important and sensitive areas on Oahu.
Being in the University of Hawaii’s ROTC program brings pride in one’s self and country. Selfless service and duty are held in the highest regard. Graduating from the prestigious program prepares new second lieutenants well for the challenges they will face.
