Brief Overview
St. John’s Military School is an all boy private military boarding school in Salina, Kansas. Grades 6 through 12 are offered to cadets. Approximately 220 students are enrolled at St. John’s.
The Army Junior ROTC program, central to any military school, scored 999 out of a possible 1000 in 2011. The JROTC department runs rifle and drill teams and the school has an indoor rifle range, one of the best in the area.
Cadets compete in sports like: football, soccer, cross country, wrestling, and more. The oldest Boy Scout troop in America can also be found at the St. John’s campus. Troop 1 was founded in 1910. The school itself was started in 1887.
