C.E. Byrd High School JROTC

C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana is home to a very active Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. Students in the Yellow Jacket Brigade work hard to achieve their academic and personal goals. Hard work is rewarded through promotion in the chain of command. Students are encouraged to seek leadership positions.

There are so many different activities for Yellow Jacket Brigade cadets to participate in. Students have the opportunity to learn about things like marksmanship and orienteering. Students gain self confidence through the completion of challenging tasks. There are numerous social events for cadets throughout the year as well. Cadets in the Yellow Jacket Brigade work hard to become well-prepared for life after graduation, including college.
