The University of Maine offers both Army and Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps programs. Students can purse either career field while earning their degrees. There are a variety of different scholarship options available for students on either career path. Students are required to meet minimum physical fitness and academic standards.
Leadership and personal accountability are two main components of both programs. Learning about military science in the classroom and out is a great part of both ROTC programs. Students get various opportunities for training exercises. The goal of each program is to prepare students for the rigorous military lifestyle. Getting the most out of an education is important for young military leaders.
