Oregon State University has a proud tradition for producing outstanding Naval officers. The Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program offers students leadership classes in addition to naval science classes. Scholarships are available for students who enroll in the Naval ROTC program. Naval Science classes as well as training outside of the classroom will prepare midshipmen for their future careers.
There is a week-long new student orientation program for the unit. Students will get a taste of what the Navy life will be like. Students will be challenged mentally and physically. Naval ROTC midshipmen organize various social events during the year in addition to their busy academic schedules. The Spring Ball is a highlight for most midshipmen. Oregon State University prepares midshipmen for exciting careers at sea.
