The University of Portland in Portland, Oregon has an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Students that are interested in becoming commissioned officers in the U.S. Army should consider the various scholarship options available. The Army ROTC program fosters an environment where leadership skills can be developed. This program is meant to be taken in conjunction with traditional college courses.
Participating in required physical fitness assessments is required of cadets. Required military science classes count as elective credits.
