San Marcos Baptist Academy is known by several names: San Marcos Baptist Academy, San Marcos Academy, SMBA, and SMA. The Academy is a Baptist coeducational prep school.
Founded in 1907, the school offers grades 7 through 12. About three quarters of the students are boarders and about 275 students are enrolled.
SMBA is one of the oldest boarding school in Texas and has a campus size of about 220 acres.
