Brief Overview
Randolph-Macon Academy is a coed college prep school for cadets in grades 6 through 12 with a postgrad program offered as well. The Academy, also known as R-MA, was founded in 1892 and has both boarding and day schools.
R-MA is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. All upper school students, 9-12, are required to join the Air Force JROTC program.
Randolph-Macon is one of six private military schools in Virginia. The campus is 135 acres and the pupils are diverse from over a dozen different countries.
The mascot is the Yellow Jacket and R-MA has an intense rivalry with other county schools nearby.
