Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington is home to the Fighting Eagle Battalion, an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. The Fighting Eagle Battalion has been producing exceptional second lieutenants since 1952. The Military Science Department at Eastern Washington University includes basic and advanced classes for students pursuing the ROTC program.
Students learn military skills inside of the classroom and out. Field training exercises are organized each semester for cadets to practice application of leadership skills. The physical fitness program is an important part of the Fighting Eagle Battalion schedule. Cadets participate in leadership laboratories weekly. The Military Science Department at Eastern Washington University gives cadets the education and skills they need to succeed.
