The Alaska Military Youth Academy is a great place for 16 to 18 year old Alaskans to succeed in a rigorous and challenging environment. The Alaska Military Youth Academy’s “ChalleNGe” program is great for students that need reinforcement in areas like academics, physical fitness, life coping skills and leadership. The program is 22 weeks long and allows cadets to continue working on their GED or High School Diploma.
The “ChalleNGe” program includes classes for academic excellence and job skills training. There are also leadership, hygiene and responsible citizenship classes. Most cadets find the adventure training to be the best part of the program. The Alaska Military Youth Academy is a good choice for teenagers that may need a little more discipline, confidence and structure in their lives.
