Nokomis High School in Newport, Maine is home to a very proud Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. Cadets at Nokomis high school build confidence through discipline and hard work. Academic achievement is an important aspect of the junior ROTC program at Nokomis High School.
Cadets give back to the community in a variety of ways. Cadets especially like to honor fallen warriors who have served their country faithfully. Physical fitness is important to cadets. Cadets are encouraged to seek positions of leadership. Nokomis High School cadets spend time practicing drill routines for flawless execution at ceremonies. The Junior ROTC program at Nokomis High School prepares cadets for success post graduation.
