Boston College is home to a detachment of the Liberty Battalion, a Reserve Officer Training Corps unit based out of Northeastern University. Cadets in the Liberty Battalion take pride in their selfless service. A commitment to academic excellence is not the only thing that set these future leaders apart from their peers. They strive for excellence in physical fitness and leadership as well.
Cadets can pursue any course of study while at Boston College. They will be required to take military science classes in addition to their regular classes. Cadets can expect to get field training throughout their college career. Field training will help to sharpen the basic infantry skills required of U.S. Army officers. The Liberty Battalion takes pride in producing well-prepared college graduates for commissioning.
