The University of Minnesota is home to an outstanding Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. Students looking to start a career in the Navy or Marine Corps should consider the various scholarship options available to midshipmen in the ROTC program. There are many different courses of study available from engineering to nursing. Midshipmen will also take courses in naval science while pursuing their degree.
There are many different educational opportunities outside of the classroom as well. Physical fitness and field trips will be included in the curriculum. Travel abroad is available for many midshipmen in the ROTC program. The University of Minnesota produces commissioned officers that are ready to serve their country.
