Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri has an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. The Bulldog Battalion has been producing well-rounded second lieutenants since 1969. General Pershing is arguably the most famous graduate of Truman State University. Students take their academic careers seriously. Physical fitness and military structure are two major components of the ROTC program.
In addition to academics, cadets also have military training courses. Military science classes are taken in conjunction with traditional coursework.
