Christian Brothers Academy is an all boy private Catholic college prep school founded in 1859. The school was founded by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. The school itself is both a junior and senior high school and is located in Colonie, New York near Albany.
The current campus is 126 acres and was built in 1998. Christian Brothers Academy is known for competing in football, basketball, hockey, and other usual school sports.
There are currently about 440 students enrolled with a student to teacher ratio of 11 to 1. Grades 6 through 12 are offered and that splits into a junior and a senior high school.
The school was originally started as a pay school to help fund a Christian Brothers orphan asylum for boys and has outgrown and moved through many facilities since.
CBA’s focus on leadership means that every students becomes a citizen and leader through the Army JROTC program.
