The Texas A&M Corps of Cadets is comprised of more than 2,250 cadets. The Corps of Cadets is a prestigious program. There are around 1,800 scholarship opportunities for cadets at Texas A&M. In addition to traditional college classes, cadets get leadership training and experience. There is no obligation of service post graduation, but students can choose to commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps programs for the Army, Air Force or Navy.
The Texas A&M Corps of Cadets is rich with military tradition. There are many special units that cadets can audition for. The Parsons Mounted Cavalry is the mounted unit which is commonly found at ceremonies and parades. Through leadership and military tradition, cadets at Texas A&M become prepared to be successful in their future endeavors.
