Thunderbird High School in Phoenix, Arizona is home to an incredibly dedicated group of Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets. Cadets at Thunderbird High School participate in various community service events. The program heavily emphasizes the importance of academics as well.
Cadets at Thunderbird High School compete in regular academic challenges. In addition to academics, cadets make time for other extracurricular activities. The color guard and honor guard are incredibly active during the football season. Field training exercises are also incorporated into the program.
Cadets get to spend time outside of the classroom as well. There are various opportunities for field trips throughout the school year. The Pima Air Museum and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University are just a few of the field trips taken in the past.
