For such a small state, Delaware has plenty of military schools to choose from. The Delaware Military Academy is an outstanding high school for students that need military structure. The DMA Seahawks compete in various athletic activities including volley ball, football, soccer, cheerleading and field hockey. Students have a much higher than average rate for attending a university after graduation than traditional students.
Seaford High School’s Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program is a great way for students to become better citizens. Students at Seaford High School focus on community service and helping others. Participating on drill and honor guard teams fosters a sense of camaraderie in students. The military structure helps to encourage self-discipline as well.
College students looking to become Army second lieutenants should consider the University of Delaware. The University of Delaware’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit prepares college students to become effective leaders. Many college students enjoy spending summer vacation at Rehoboth Beach.
