Hermon High School in Hermon, Maine is home to an outstanding Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program. The Hermon Hawks are a dedicated group of cadets that maintain a high standard of academic excellence. Students gain self confidence in the junior ROTC program. Students are expected to meet physical fitness goals in addition to academic goals. There are numerous opportunities for field training exercise camps as well.
The Hawks have various teams for competitive athletic, academic and military related competitions. Students can join the drill team, compete at the academic bowl and even shoot rifles on the marksmanship team. The military structure fosters an environment of discipline. The junior ROTC program prepares students for success at the college level after graduation.
