Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland is home to the Bulldog Battalion, an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. The Bulldog Battalion has a proud tradition of academic excellence and leadership development. Cadets in the Bulldog Battalion love to get out of the classroom for training opportunities. Students pursuing a health care career should consider the ROTC nursing program.
Students have various training opportunities including marksmanship, rappelling classes, land navigation, swim training and first aid. In addition to academic courses, cadets may spend time at actual Army training schools during the summer months. Students may even get the opportunity to attend Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Bowie State University is proud to produce well-rounded graduates for commissioning in the U.S. Army.
