The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) has a motivated Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. The midshipmen of Ole Miss’ ROTC program strive for academic achievement and military success. Scholarship options are available for students and are organized into a tier structure. Becoming a Naval officer is challenging and hard work for students at Ole Miss. In addition to their regular schedule, students are also required to take naval science classes.
Physical fitness is an important part of the Naval ROTC program. Midshipmen will have various opportunities at hands-on learning throughout the school year. Students will also have summer training exercises such as month long ‘cruises.’ Preparing students for success in the military world is a top priority for the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Ole Miss.
