Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey is home to the Tiger Battalion, an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. In addition to an incredibly high level of academic excellence, students are expected to maintain high physical fitness standards. Leadership laboratories help students cultivate their leadership skills, while learning about military tactics. Instructors serve to mentor students while teaching them about leadership and discipline.
Most students look forward to field training exercises. Obstacle courses help to foster a challenging environment for platoons and cadets in leadership positions. Many students learn their basic infantry skills during a field training exercise. Princeton University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Program serves to cultivate leadership and responsibility in future military leaders.
