South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota offers an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Students interested in the ROTC program should consider one of the many scholarship opportunities available. Preparing the cadets for future leadership positions is what the ROTC program is all about. There are classes in leadership development and military science. Students can even earn a minor in military science.
There are many different educational opportunities outside of school for cadets to take part in. Some opportunities available include cultural immersion programs, airborne school and even cadet troop leader training. Students work hard academically and physically.
