Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee has an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Carson-Newman College has one of the best ROTC programs in the nation for nursing students. Scholarships are available for a multitude of different student situations. Cadets have supportive instructors that serve as mentors through the challenging program.
Physical fitness and leadership development are two major components in the ROTC program. In addition to regular classes, students also take military science classes. Color guard is a fun way for cadets to learn more about military customs. Cadets enjoy the camaraderie of preparing for the annual Ranger Challenger. Preparing students for the challenges of military leadership is the top priority for the Carson-Newman College ROTC program.
