Marine Military Academy

Address: 320 Iwo Jima Blvd., Harlingen, Texas, United States

Marine Military Academy (MMA) is a private military college prep school. Grades 8 through 12 are offered on the Harlingen, Texas campus. The campus used to be an Air Force base for decade or two.

The MMA was founded in 1965 and its values are inspired by the USMC. But the school is not affiliated with the Marine Corps directly except through the JROTC program.

The Academy has no religious affiliations and the campus is over 140 acres in size. Cadets are required to participate in one of the afternoon extracurricular activities.

The cadet’s rank structure is based on the USMC rank system except with the word “Cadet” before the title. For example, 8th graders cannot advance beyond Cadet Lance Corporal.
