Brief Overview
The George Washington Carver Military Academy High School, formerly the George Washington Carver Area High School, and also known more simply as the Carver Military Academy, is a public military high school in Chicago, Illinois.
Founded in 1947, it was originally a normal high school, but it began its transition to a military academy in 2000 and is the second such public military high school in the United States.
Carver is coeducational, offers grades 9 – 12, and the school colors are green and gold. The campus is an urban campus.
