St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas has an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Program. The ROTC program at St. Mary’s University prepares cadets for military challenges after graduation. Students can work hard to attain leadership positions within their chain of command. The military structure helps to foster an environment of discipline and accountability.
Cadets may get opportunities to attend Army specialized schools like Airborne and Air Assault. Training for the Ranger Challenge competition is a good way for cadets to improve morale. Participating in weekly leadership laboratories encourages good troop leading skills. Cadets are also required to participate in the physical fitness program. Cadets at St. Mary’s University work hard to achieve their ultimate goal of becoming commissioned second lieutenants.
