Various colleges in Massachusetts including Boston University make up the Charles River Battalion Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. Students at Boston University have the opportunity for a top tier education in addition to military studies. Coursework in military sciences are required of cadets from their first year.
Field training exercises will help cadets learn more about what it takes to actually lead troops. Many cadets enjoy this time out of the classroom. There are many different scholarship options available to students who wish to pursue a military career. Developing leadership skills remains the top priority for cadets in the Charles River Battalion. Boston University is proud of producing second lieutenants that are well prepared for the tough Army lifestyle.
