Montana State University is home to the Bobcat Battalion, an Army Reserve Officer Training Corps unit. Students in the Bobcat Battalion spend time in the field in addition to their regular classes. Students have regularly scheduled field training exercises to hone their infantry skills. Students are required to take courses in military science.
Passing physical fitness tests is an important part of doing well in the ROTC program. There are many leadership options available to help cadets learn valuable skills. There are many different career tracks for U.S. Army officers. Nursing students should consider the ROTC program and the scholarships available. Montana State University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program strives to prepare cadets for the difficult and challenging career ahead of them.
