La Salle Institute is an all boy private college prep school that is run by the Brothers of the Christian Schools. It is also known by its acronym LSI. 600 Cadets, grades 6-12, are are enrolled at this military academy in Troy, New York.
The Institute was founded in 1850 and was first chartered by the NYS Board of Regents in 1891. Substantial renovations were completed in 2001 expanding the campus.
Tuition to LSI is between $6,860 and $9,920. All high school students at La Salle are enrolled in the Army Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JRTOC) Program.
